MALE, Nov 3 (HNS) – Ministry of Tourism and Civil Aviation has announced that Farukolhufushi bid has been won by the highest bidder Hussain Shakir.

Tourism Ministry said Tuesday that Shakir who bid an amount of US$ 11,004,800 dollars (Rf 141.4 million) has been given a duration of 10 days to complete the tasks in the bid document.

Shakir has to present half the 50 percent of the amount which is Rf 70.7 million and a bank guarantee of the same amount. If he fails to do so within the given time limit of ten days the resort island of Farukolhufushi will be awarded to the second highest bidder.
