MALE, Dec 11 (HNS) – A 69 year old man has been arrested by police Saturday night who had 234 bottles of alcohol in his stock in Male.

A senior rank policeman said that the 69 year old man and 18 cases of alcohol were taken to the police station Saturday night by a police team from the man’s house located in Henveyru district. Eyewitnesses said that the alcohol was packed in original boxes.

People who live in that area said that it has been many days since that man had been selling alcohol by having a stockpile in his own home.

Police are investigating the matter.

Trusted sources tell Haveeru that the person who had been arrested is Henveyru SoasanVilla, Ibrahim Waheed. The alcohol bottles were stored in that house.
